Thai Yoga Massage Trainings & Yoga Intensives

;Do your students like to dive deep? To learn more about how their body works within the context of yoga? To find new ways to feel more vital and alive? To learn skills that they can share professionally with your community?

I offer classes that explore the nitty-gritty of anatomy, movement and yoga philosophy. Giving students the tools they need to explore practical solutions to their discomforts and challenges. This may look like helping a Massage Therapist to move with ease instead of pain through Thai Yoga Massage, or helping a yoga teacher learn to give an assist that will empower the student’s body to find an alignment with more structural integrity; or helping a stressed-out student connect with their body on a visceral level to learn to rise from a place of relaxation and power. Through understanding the nuts and bolts of how our bodies and minds work, we can better utilize yoga’s philosophical roadmap to a more comfortable place in the self and in this world. This is what I endeavor to teach through every one of my mindful, compassionate classes.

Below you will find a sampling of my current offerings. I would be most honored to share these classes with your community. Let me know what you feel will resonate most with your community. Below these offerings, you will find my professional terms and conditions so that you may make an informed decision as to whether we are a great fit. Do let me know if you have any questions at all. I look forward to practicing with you soon.

Marisa came to Ohio and held a training at my studio! She was fantastic! She was well-prepared, professional and thorough. By the end of the training we were all very prepared to offer this amazing service to our clients! I recommend her very highly!

You are a marvelous group leader and the group had a meaningful experience blending yoga with immersive nature away from their normal lives. Your yoga teaching is subtle and gentle yet powerful and intense at the same time. I have continued the practice upon my return, and feel better and stronger.

Natures Heart Yoga excitedly brought Marisa Wolfe in for Thai Yoga Massage for Balance training. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. The lectures, hands-on practice, manual and overall thoroughness of the entire training was phenomenal! Everyone in the training is excited to bring this practice to their family, friends, clients & community! We are already planning more training with Marisa and highly recommend it to anyone.

Thai Yoga Massage Workshops and Professional Trainings:

Thai Yoga Massage is a form of bodywork done fully-clothed on the floor. Based in the ancient practices of Traditional Thai Medicine with heavy influences from Yoga, Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine, this form of massage incorporates focused work on the energy lines of the body (Sen) while the receiver is moved and stretched into a variety of yoga-like positions and compression massage techniques are employed. The body is treated as a whole, safely and slowly pulled, stretched and rocked. The combination of passive movement and assisted stretching opens the joints, releases connective tissues and increases circulation, leaving the recipient moving more easily and feeling both calm and invigorated.

All my Thai Yoga Massage trainings focus on the art of giving and receiving safely. It is my firm belief that you cannot effective give Thai Yoga Massage until you learn how to effectively receive Thai Yoga Massage. Developing this skill in yourself, will help you to develop it in your clients. You will notice a consistent theme of self-care and practice in all my trainings. If we do not first take care of ourselves, we are unable to effectively take care of others; if we are unable to find ease within ourselves, we cannot effectively create space for others; this all takes practice. The more we practice Thai Yoga Massage, the more we are able to cultivate Metta and ease, enjoying our work and our lives.

Each training will prepare you to give a professional-level Thai Yoga Massage. The special focus of each training will help you to deepen your practice, no matter what your practitioner level. While it is recommended that you begin your study with Thai Yoga Massage for Wellness, all trainings are multi-level. That said, I strongly encourage you to have some background in Thai Yoga Massage before enrolling in Thai Yoga Massage for Clarity for your ease of learning.

Yoga Intensives and Workshops:

All of my yoga classes and workshops, long or short, are grounded in anatomy, breath, and practical exploration. As you know, it is one thing to discuss a technique, another thing to experience it. My goal is to help students to a place of deep experience that leads them to their own integral wisdom. All students are always encouraged to move at their own pace and adaptations for taking a practice gentler or deeper are always given. To know yourself seems to me the highest honor available, and the greatest challenge out there… my classes aim to help you establish a road map for exploration, so that this practice continues well beyond your mat. My most popular offerings include Half-Retreats, Metta Yoga, Breathe Deeper Pranayama, and Yoga for a Happy Belly. A few of these favorite offerings may be viewed below.
