with Marisa Wolfe & Maggie Griffin-Taylor
Start your New Year off right in Truth or Consequences, NM
with Yoga, Meditation, Hot Springs, Massage and Good Company
Join us in Truth or Consequences, NM to breath deeper and live more fully. Our yoga practices on this retreat focus on opening your body for breath by moving with intention, grace and awareness. Our meditation practices focus on connecting both your body and your mind with the breath through deeper relaxation and enhanced focus. The breath ties it all together as we weave pranayama into our practices of both movement and stillness, exploring the breath as a tool for healthy living. This retreat allows for plenty of free time to enjoy friends new and old and soak your soul in the mineral hot springs this town is famous for. It is truly a time to relax, renew and restore.
This is our 16th year hosting this retreat. So many participants return year after year for this time of reflection and rejuvenation. Set aside the time for yourself, come with intention, and, truly, start your year right.

**Note that we are NOT including lodging this year. Please choose to stay where you feel most comfortable.**

Thai Yoga Massage uses passive stretching and compressive massage to open the energy lines of the body, release muscular tensions, open the joints, and ease the mind. Often described as having yoga done to you, this massage is performed fully clothed without oils. With Marisa Wolfe (LMT# 5949).
Reflexology draws on predefined maps of pressure points and lines in the feet, hands and head to work the entire body and all of its systems. It is especially beneficial for relaxation, stress relief, pain management and increased circulation. May include the use of oils and some gentle Thai stretches to help you integrate your treatment. With Maggie Griffin-Taylor, Certified Reflexologist.
Therapeutic Massage is a soothing, work-out-the-tough-spots kind of massage involving oiling the body and kneading and gliding the belly of the muscles. Sometimes very relaxing, sometimes deep and specific for those trouble spots, your therapist will bring their own unique set of skills to the massage to make it just right for you. with Zephyr, NM LMT.
Private Yoga, Pranayama and/or Meditation Classes are opportunities to bring your unique inquiry to your yoga, pranayama or meditation practice. If you have particular struggles in asana (yoga posture), pranayama (breathwork), or dyana (meditation), or you have express interests in deepening your practice in these areas, a private session serves as a laser focus on you. If there are poses you have wanted to explore, breathing techniques you want to refine or learn, or you desire guidance on developing your meditation or even your overall practice, a private session can take you to the next level. Sessions will focus on your desired aspect of practice, but may include other yogic elements to enhance your experience. With Maggie Griffin-Taylor or Marisa Wolfe. Note that these classes may be taken (and recorded for you) via zoom anytime in January, pre-scheduled.

About Your Retreat Hosts:

Marisa Wolfe:
“Nothing inspires my yoga practice so much as focused time to explore my inner world. It will be my pleasure to guide you on your own inner journey in the comfort of your home during this virtual retreat.
I teach yoga classes that focus on exploration, feeling into sensation, experimenting and adapting to suit your needs in the moment. I’ve been teaching mixed level classes for 14 years and leading retreats for 11. I think you will find my approach to yoga both gentle and challenging. Know all challenge is met with love and always your choice.
Curious about how I teach? I invite you to check out my Youtube channel for sample classes and geeky moments.”
Marisa will lead all our group yoga classes and facilitate our circles. As well, she will be seeing some of you for private sessions and Thai Yoga Massage.

Maggie Griffin-Taylor:
Filled with compassion and enthusiasm. That’s probably the best way to describe the experience of Maggie’s classes. And also a great way to describe Maggie!
Always curious about the deeper aspects of yoga, Maggie is well-versed in the stories and philosophies of yoga, always guiding her students into a centered place where they can find a way to explore their own inner peace.
Maggie provides logistical support for the retreat and some of the most amazing postural adjustments you’ve ever had. Some of you will be lucky to meet her for a reflexology or private session.
