Breathe New Life into Your LifeA Restorative Yoga and Meditation Retreat - January 7-9, 2022
Start your New Year off right… right where you are
with Yoga, Meditation, Old Friends & New, and LOTS of Deep Breaths
Join us online to breath deeper and live more fully. Our yoga practices on this retreat focus on opening your body for breath by moving with intention, grace and awareness. Our meditation practices focus on connecting both your body and your mind with the breath through deeper relaxation and enhanced focus. The breath ties it all together as we weave pranayama into our practices of both movement and stillness, exploring the breath as a tool for healthy living and deep relaxation. It is truly a time to relax, renew and restore.
This is our 14th year hosting this retreat. So many participants return year after year for this time of reflection and rejuvenation. Set aside the time for yourself, come with intention, and, truly, start your year right.

Is this your first at-home/online yoga retreat?
Online retreats are a special experience. They have this incredible way of creating a sense of community while still allowing the personal space to go deeper in your practice. And one of the great joys of connecting online is that you can join us from anywhere with an online connection – your home, beside the trail, or at the hot springs.
It will be our pleasure to help facilitate this for you. And to aid in that, your retreat includes a how-to. This includes prop suggestions and alternatives. Healthy and tasty treats that you can prepare before the retreat to ensure your meals are delicious. Tips on setting boundaries with your work and those you love so that they can hlp you have the best experience possible. Journaling prompts and schedule suggestions to help you make the absolute best use of your retreat time. (And so you can keep it retreat time, instead of laundry time 😉
About our Yoga Classes:
All classes are always mixed level, with options for gentler versions of postures as well as more challenging versions. You will always be encouraged to practice at your own pace and according to your own needs at the time.
You will find no headsteads led in these classes. Rather, we will be focused on variations on basic poses for new perspecitive on familiar poses that you can expand on in your personal practice.
Our private one-on-one classtime will allow us to go deeper into your particular needs – physical or spiritual – in ways that you can immediately use on your mat. You will find the practives we develop one-on-one reflected in our group classes to reinforce your understanding.
Savasana guaranteed. Every class.
“I was very sorry it had to end.”
This is what one participant had to say about our December Virtual Yoga Retreat!
Grab a cup of tea and a warm blankie to get nice and cozy as Maggie regales us with fantastic stories from the lore of yoga. Expect talking animals and magical events!
About Community Chat and Reflective Solitude:
A retreat is always a special time to create connection. Both with other like-minded souls and with ourselve.
Through our forum and our Zoom time, you will be able to catch up with old friends and get to know like-minded yogis, near and far. As this retreat includes so many dear friends, we will periodically breakout into small group chats to catch up and make new friends.
Zoomed out? Or even if you’re not, I’ll be sending out daily prompts to keep your retreat time aligned with our theme and productive when you are in community and when you retreat for solitude and screen-free time.

About Your Retreat Hosts:
“Nothing inspires my yoga practice so much as focused time to explore my inner world. It will be my pleasure to guide you on your own inner journey in the comfort of your home during this virtual retreat.
I teach yoga classes that focus on exploration, feeling into sensation, experimenting and adapting to suit your needs in the moment. I’ve been teaching mixed level classes for 14 years and leading retreats for 11. I think you will find my approach to yoga both gentle and challenging. Know all challenge is met with love and always your choice.
Curious about how I teach? I invite you to check out my Youtube channel for sample classes and geeky moments.”
Marisa will lead all our group yoga classes and facilitate our ceremonies. She is also the person behind our daily prompts (aka homework assignments) to help keep you focused for the retreat. As well, she will be seeing some of you for private sessions.
Filled with compassion and enthusiasm. That’s probably the best way to describe the experience of Maggie’s classes. And also a great way to describe Maggie!
Always curious about the deeper aspects of yoga, Maggie is well-versed in the stories and philosophies of yoga, always guiding her students into a centered place where they can find a way to explore their own inner peace.
Maggie will be sharing some of her favorite myths and legends at our yoga storytime. You will also find her helping to facilitate our online retreat community and chat. And some of you will be lucky to meet her for your private session.
A certified life coach, senior level yoga & meditation teacher, and artist, Halli has been practicing and teaching yoga for 25 years.
Halli’s teaching style is based in an expansive knowledge of anatomy woven together with deep spiritual study and modern psychology.
Some of you may remember Halli and her exquisite presence from when she co-led the Breathe retreats each year with Marisa, many moons ago. We are very excited that she is able to join us again this year.
